I'm a coach who has executive function challenges herself — which means I get it from the inside.
"Clarity comes through action."
I've spent nearly two decades in education, the last almost 10 years coaching one-on-one. I started Jessica Clancy Coaching because the people I most wanted to work with — capable adults and students who were quietly treading water trying not to drown — needed something that traditional support wasn't giving them. Not therapy. Not tutoring. Not another planner.
They needed someone in their corner, weekly, doing the boring work of building real systems with them — and someone who understood, from lived experience, why "just make a list" or being asked “what’s the plan for tomorrow?” was never going to be enough.
Two decades in education. Nearly a decade coaching one-on-one.
I hold an M.S.Ed in Education Leadership from American College of Education, plus endorsements in Special Education K–12 and Reading. Before launching this practice, I spent years inside a national executive function coaching company — leading teams of supervisors and coaches, and personally coaching dozens of clients through intake, weekly sessions, and long-term progress. I've coached one-on-one since 2017 and launched Jessica Clancy Coaching in August 2022.
About the ADHD piece
I'll be honest with you: I don't carry a formal ADHD diagnosis (yet). What I do have is lived experience with the executive function topics I coach on, a family history of ADHD, and nearly two decades of professional work understanding how these brains operate. That combination is part of why this work clicks for me — and part of why my clients tell me they feel understood instead of lectured.
Coaching is about behavior change. The work is in the how of taking action — what you do on a Tuesday afternoon when motivation is gone and the deadline is real. That includes the practical systems and the belief systems that keep you stuck. We look at both, because skipping either one is how people end up in the same place six months later.
I'm warm but direct. I'll tell you the truth, including when something isn't working. I won't pretend a system is brilliant if it's about to collapse on you. And I'll never sell you on coaching if you'd be better served by something else.
Behavior change is the goal. Systems and mindset both get you there.
Around 10 clients at a time. On purpose.
I cap my practice at around ten active 1:1 clients on purpose. It's how I'm able to text between sessions, remember the thing you mentioned three weeks ago, and actually be in your corner instead of in your inbox.
It also means availability is genuinely limited. If we're a fit, the consultation call is the place to find out.
Recently relocated to Tallahassee, FL, with my husband, Dr. Dan, our two elementary-aged kids, and three chihuahuas+dachshunds who run the household more than they should. Most of my coaching is online, but I also meet with local clients, referral partners, and community contacts in person — Tallahassee is home base and I'm out in it. I'm a millennial with executive function challenges raising kids and growing a business at the same time, which means I am very much practicing what I coach.
Tallahassee. Family. Three chihuahuas. One business.
The consultation call is the easiest way to find out if we're a fit.
30 minutes. Free. No pressure. If coaching isn't right for you, I'll point you toward what is.
